I have a Compustar 2WSSA car alarm.  Following the instructions I can program the 2 way remote by toggling the ignition on off five times and inserting the battery in the remote after the two parking lights flash or I can program the one way remote by pushing the lock button after the two parking light flashes.

I can not program both at the same time.  One wins and the other will not program.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You have to program the two remotes one after the other within the same toggle cycle.

I am trying to program both remotes on the same toggle, but can not get both to work one or the other works.

I have tried pushing button one on the 2-way but that does not program it, only inserting the battery.  So I've tried inserting the battery in the two way and pushing the unlock on the one way repeatedly and one or the other programs.

I have also tried pushing the lock on the one way and then inserting the battery on the two way, then only the one way programs.

I get no response until after the two relay clicks which from the directions is leaving program mode.  After two relay clicks putting in the battery (2 way) or pushing the lock button (1 way) will program one but not both.

Thanks

According to Compustar tech support the alarm only 2WSSA will only control one remote at a time, the alarm/starter combo will control 2.

So if anyone else has a car who wants remotes for 2 drivers with a compustar alarm you are out of luck.

I was looking around and found magicar.com which appears to be the makers of compustar.
Anyway there info says the CM33000 alarm module works with up to three remotes, so I tried to program both remotes again and was successful.
One note when I lock/unlock the car with the one way the two way lock icon does not change, probably just a bug/limitation of the system.

It's not a bug, just you have done something with another remote, and the 2 way remote doesn't know it... if you were to press and hold "IV" I believe, then that hits the brain for an update, and you would see the updated info on the 2 way LCD...
