Compustar 2W900FM-AS and DEI 530T

I am having problems getting the window module I installed to work on my 2002 Tacoma pickup(exended cab 2 door). I have the orange wire from the alarm tied into the violet wire that is on cn1 starter kill relay (ground when armed). When I push the lock/arm button the windows do not even try to go up. I can touch the orange wire to a ground and the windows will roll up. I also noticed that when I turn off the ignition, the windows roll up? Do I need a diode in the orange wire connected to the violet wire that activates the starter kill? Or should I unhook the starter kill relay before I can use the violet wire for the window module? I am also having trouble getting the windows to roll down using either aux channel. I can get them to "vent" but not roll all the way down except an inch or two at a time. I tried all of the dip switch settings but it still does the same thing.The manual says to hold the aux channel for 3 seconds to roll down the windows. But on the Compustar aux channels, the car will either remote start or operate the trunk pop before the windows roll down. The windows work fine using the door switches. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try using a relay to boost the (-) signal from the VIOLET wire off the CN1 harness. Use this diagram. As far as the AUX channel you need to program the wire ( use this manual ) to set it from pulsed to latched or timed.Jeff

Jeff, Thanks for your help. I can now get the windows to roll up by using the orange(rearm wire)on cn5. Do you see any problems arising from using the rearm wire instead of the violet ground when armed wire? Or should I should I try a relay hooked up like your diagram? I tried to open the link you posted to a manual but the link doesn't work. Is it possible to program the aux channels without a programmer? I have the installation guide,it says you can program the pulse from 1-99 seconds but it doesn't say how.

The only problem with the rearm wire is that it's a pulsed output. If your window modules use a pulsed input signal to operate then there's no problem but if they require a latched signal, then the rearm will not work for this.Jeff

I couldn't get the DEI 530T to roll down the windows more than an inch or two each time I pressed the aux channel button. So I installed an Asianwolf window module using the rearm wire to roll the windows up when I press the lock/arm button. It wouldn't roll up using the violet ground when armed wire either from cn1. I haven't tried the relay hooked to the Ground when armed yet. The Asian wolf works and will roll the windows down all the way by using the aux channel. This module rolls the windows up and down one at a time. But the one thing I do not like is that now there is no auto down function on my drivers window. Should the DEI 530T work if I use the ground when armed (-) booster relay wired like your diagram and use a DEI 528T pulse timer for the aux channel?

OOPS! I just checked again and the auto down on the driver's door does work! I thought for sure that it didn't work.......
