hey guys new here,  heres my question my cusin has a 00 gmc sierra extended cab and he wanted to put a 12" or 15" flip doen on the roof my question is. is that going to be too much weight for the roof? do i have to make a braket or something by that nature?

any help will be apreciated

if you pull out the back light if it has one you will see that you can attached small screws with a piece of wood above headliner to support the monitor. hope this helps.
ps you should be able to slide wood through the side i dont cut the headliner unless 100% have to and i encourage the same for others. as far as others go there lazy

i would suggest you drop part of the headliner so you can slide some wood ( i say to drop part of the head liner so you dont crease the headliner hard to fix and expensive to replace)i usually use 1/4 mdf not to heavy but it will hold the overhead in place. You should cut the wood about and inch or two bigger then the unit and you will be able to screw into that hope that helps
