Clifford 800IQ Intelliguard

Installed on a '98 Toyota 4Runner.  Over the past 8 years, the alarm system has performed flawlessly until now.

One morning, I found the car battery dead, and the alarm unresponsive.  I jump started the battery using one of those portable batteries.  The car started, but all the alarm functions were gone.  I tried disconnecting the battery  negative terminal to trigger the multievent total recall, and SmartPowerUp II - no change.

I took the now unalarmed but driveable vehicle to a Clifford installers shop.  He was super busy but agreed to take a look at the problem.  Within 5 minutes, he had the system up and running, and told me that the next time the battery goes bad, the system should reset itself.  If this does not fix it, then he recommended disconnecting the battery for a moment, and the system should reset.  Boy, these guys are good!

Guess what - the next day, the battery died again and I jumpstarted it and took the car to Sears to have the battery replaced, and since then, the alarm system is unresponsive again.  Even the recommended 'disconnect the battery' fix does not work.

Before I have to drive back into town to see the Clifford Tech, does anyone out there who might have a suggestion for resetting my alarm?
