Hi. I have a 2004 mazda 3. Last year, i installed a remote starter/alarm combo (carvox) with a PKF3 bypass module on my car. the bypass seemed to be working perfectly but the remote starter was faulty. i got a new starter/alarm (agilon) and I am going to change it myself. Here is my question. the old RS had a special wire for bypass module that was connected to the brown wire on the bypass harness that says "negative ground when running). The new RS does not have such a wire. How should i connect the brown wire? is it going to be connected to the ignition kill relay? any help is appreciated. Please be specific in your instruction as I am not a pro. many thanks.

Since your Mazda3 doesn't require a 2nd ignition connection you can connect the 2nd ignition output from the system to a relay as follows:

PIN 85 of Relay connects to the 2nd ignition out (+ SIGNAL) from remote starter.

PINS 86 & 87 of the Relay to a constant chassis ground.

PIN 30: Connects to the BROWN wire of the PKF3.

PIN 87a: Not Used.

Thanks for the instruction. My alarm does not have the 2nd ignition out. I took a connection out of the single ignition output and connected to the relay as you suggested. I guess this way my immobilizer will be permanently bypassed as any key that puts the ignition cylinder on ON can bypass the immobilizer. Am I right?

Now I have another problem. When I use the remote starter, it starts the engine, but after 10 seconds the engine shuts off and it starts again. This Cycle repeats three times then stops without any success. Any idea what the reason might be?

More than likely, you need to learn the tach signal to the remote starter.

Actually I think that the vehecles antitheft system is not sensing the transponder. Put the coil infront of the key cylinder not ontop of or arround the back of it.... use some tape to hold it in place....

also: Do not permanently bypass the transponder system if you do you me erase or seriously confuse your computer in the car...

This thing HAS to have a ground while running.....maybe it's called status output, like those silly DEI things?
