I just installed a new Viper 550ESP in my 1999 Ford E-150 Custom Van ~ Everything works as it should.

However . . . with my original Ford "remote keyless entry" (no alarm or anti-theft) system, when activating the "unlock" button, the driver's door unlocks on first press and also turns on dome light. Second press of button unlocks the remaining doors.

With the "Viper", all doors unlock on first press of unlock button and no dome light activation.

Can use some help configuring this thing to work as the original did.

BTW, the range is fantastic!

Thanks,

Patrick

You are going to need the wire a relay to activate the drivers door unlock motor only on disarm.  Just wire it like the reverse polarity lock system for unlock only and use the unlock pulse from the alarm as the trigger.  Then hook up channel four to the wire that unlocks all of the doors.  You will also need to program channel four to be a progressive unlock, this is alot easier if you have access to a bitwriter but not neccessary.

To activate domelight you'll use the black \ white wire in your Viper to a relay to PIN 85 then Pin 86 and 87 get  +12volts and PIN 30 goes to your door trigger wire. (black \ lt blue)  You can also programm the domelight to come on when you turn off the ignition it will stay on for about 30 seconds or so.  Test all wires.
