I recently installed a Valet 562T in my 05 Saab 92x(same as Subaru WRX), and am trying to work out some bugs. Everything is working fine, except I can't get the parking lights to flash with the lock/unlock and can't seem to get the rear defogger to work.
First off, parking lights. I found the right wire, and connected the white wire from the remote start. Its set to +, but it's not working. Am I missing something?
The other problem I'm having is the rear defogger. I found the wire that shows voltage when the defogger is activated, and attached the wire from the remote start, but again no luck.
Do either/both require relays to work properly?

What parking light wire did you use in the car? Should be a purple wire, that tests as positive when the lights are on...............there is also a negative parking light wire, but on Subarus, it does NOT work when the engine is off.
I'm not familiar with DEI/Valet's defroster output, but it is very, very likely that a relay will be required if you're going to use the high-current, positive-trigger defroster wire..............although if you poke around enough, you might find a low-current, negative-trigger wire at the defroster switch, which shouldn't require a relay.

I used the orange +, but it didn't work. I tested the white wire from the remote start and it does show voltage when doors are locked/unlocked but for some reason I'm not getting any response from my parking lights.
The blue -, is that for automatic climate control or standard?
Thanks!
