Viper 791xv remote start problem in an 89

Ok, well ive double checked all the wiring and I still dont know the problem. The only thing I can think of is the purple wire that supplys voltage is only giving 6 volts to the starter. The remote start engages(b/c I can see all my acc. coming on) then shuts off then repeats 2 more time until it finally gives me that little chime on my remote meaning that it failed. I dont understand. All my acc. come on but the starter never turns over.

Well did you put the Remote start wire on the wire going to the starter and not to the key switch ???

yes should there only be 6 volts hitting the starter or the full 12? mine is only getting 6

Your suppose to put it on the starter side

Pretty sure everything should be at 12v. Check your input to the relay. (the 2 or 3 fused red wire)
