I'm working on installing the remote lock feature for the clifford RSX 3.5, the door lock output from the alarm has two wires as I am sure all the DEI installers will know. This is my first time working with something like this, can anyone help me out on what I need to do? I'm supposed to lookup tech tip 1041 for additional info, but cannot locate it.

ANy help would be great.

Thanks!

I should mention this is the first time I've worked on a remote lock system. I've done a lot of alarms nothing with remote locks. I am familiar with relays and such as well.

Does your 99 Neon have factory power door lock?
I have the same alarm as yours and recently worked on replacing door actuators and door lock switches to incoporate that with the alarm.

Yep it has power everything, it's a sport coupe.

I know the wires I need to tap into *I think* but not sure exactly how I should hook this up.

You can find a wire guide for the 99 Neon right here on the12volt. It lists your vehicle as requiring a 5-wire interface, and the diagram for that can be found here.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help, but I'm still a bit confused.
I got the relay diagram, no problem:
Remote locks on '99 Neon -- posted image.
And the door triggers:
Door Lock         ORANGE / Purple
Door Unlock         Pink/Purple
Driver's Lock         ORANGE / Black
Driver's Unlock    Pink/White
Passenger Unlock   Pink/Black
But my question is, which wires connect to the switch side of the relay, and what ones to the motor side?
I would assume the unlock signal from the unlock relay (in the first pic) goes to Pink / Purple and the lock signal goes to Orange / Purple right?
If so, what ones connect to the switch? Drivers lock / unlock?

I believe you might be a little confused with what the diagram is telling you. On the left picture of that diagram you are cutting the vehicles pink/purple wire with the part of the wire that is going to the doorlock motor connected to pin 30 and the other part of the wire you cut going to pin 87a. On the right part of that picture you are doing the same with the ORANGE / purple wire, with the switch side of the cut wire going to 87a and the motor side of the cut wire going to 30. You are not going to hook into the pink/white nor pink/black wires unless you plan on doing a driver's door priority unlocking system.
Hope this helps.
