positive or negetive sensor trigger?

i have a asian wolf v 2009 alarm .i was reading the info about adding the dual sensor to the shock sensor inputs. but i would like to add a diode to stop the shock sensor interfering with the dual motion senor .i have grounded my test light to a grounded source  probbed the suspected wire and then tapped the sensor . no responce on my test light .i then clampped the ground side to a positive and  then probbed the same wire and tapped the the sensor and the test light did light up a little . would this make my sensors a negetive input or a positve input ? which way should i place the diode with the strip ? duallyit

Don't use test light, always use DMM. Sensors use only negative output, not positive, and not input. When you talk about input, that's referring to the brain, not the sensor itself. You wanted to diode isolate the two sensors, then place the strip side (K) towards the sensor so negative signal can travel from the sensor to the brain. That said, you also need to use another diode and place the K toward another sensor. This way, - signal out from sensor A can't reach to sensor B but to the brain only.
