1996 ford explorer door locks

i have a 1996 ford explorer that the locks will unlock but will not lock with remote or from door panel or the touch  pad on  driver door  it will not lock checked all fuses found all are good any help  or suggestions

Do you hear the lock motors atleast attempt? could be a bad switch. try it from the passenger side. Same result?

nope it does nothing from either door and from key pad or from rear hatch switch on the side

Well all I can honestly say if you have a meter test the drivers lock switch. test all the wires running into te switch. I'm stumped on advise without being there

i am pretty sure that you have a 5 wire type c lock and unlock.  if your car dosent have a keypad for keyless entry i would say use the 5 wire. all the five wire is 87a switch side, 30 motor side, 87 & 85 12volt power, and 86 alarm wire for lock or unlock.  use fuseable links and let me know if igave u any assistance
