Astrostart 2205 in a 2007 Chrysler Aspen

Well, the new 07 vehicles are coming about, and most of them I have been able to figure out so far. This one, a 2007 Chrysler Aspen, has thrown me for loop when it came down to programming a module to bypass the key. The rest of the wiring was very similar to the Durangos and the Rams. I got a CHDL7-PK2 to work for the security, locks, and power hatch. I also thought I could get this module programmed for the century key bypass, but no go. It would not program. I tried a new module, still didn't program. I tried an OM-Chrysler 2, and that didn't program. The only way I was able to bypass this was to use a CUT-III and take the chip out of one of the keys and put it in the CUT-III and bypass it that way. There weren't even more keys to be able to program to the vehicle available through the dealership. Could this vehicle possibly have a different kind of chip in the keys, compared to all the other Dodge/Chrysler vehicles? The keys that all the other Dodge and Chrysler vehicles use didn't program either by using a computer we call a Star Scan. Thats the computer the dealerships uses to program a new key to a Dodge/Chrysler vehicle. By the way, I work as an install tech for the Pro Shop of a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Honda, Toyota Dealership. If anybody has some light to shed on the subject, that would be great! Thanks.

Hmm, unusual.
I haven't worked on an Aspen yet, but yeah, it looks like it would just be a Durango.
I'm going to keep this in mind at my work, so we'll be ready for it.
Do you remember the early-production 2004 Durangos? They had a problem with the body computer that wouldn't allow new keys to be programmed.....the computer had to be replaced first. The manufacturer was paying for it, whenever people came in to buy new keys.
Also, I see you're using Trilogix product. They have good tech support, and they answer the phone quickly without keeping you on hold. There's a guy there named Michael who's very friendly and knowledgeable. Give them a call.

yes, I remember the computer program with the Durangos. Since I work at a dealership, we have run into that problem alot and I have replace probably 20 of those computers. Its actually just the ring type module up near the ignition switch. The SKIM module is the proper name for the replaced part. I have not called tech support yet, but I will see if I can get a hold of them. I have not been able to find anybody who has done another one yet, since we had the first ones in the state of North Dakota, so calling around to local shops and fellow Chrysler dealerships was useless.

Do you possibly have the wiring information for this vehicle, or could tell me what the wiring is most similar to? I'm trying to do a remote start on an Aspen and not sure what resistances to use, etc.
