2000 Monte Carlo BCM

I got a quick question about my 2000 monte carlo I am installing the alarm right now it is an Clifford RSX 3.5 and I have a wiring instruction sheet that says the parking lights are white at pink 24 pin plug at BCM. When looking at the pink plug there are three white wires in that plug which one should I use I have the diode setup in line already per with the striped end facing the BCM. Will any of thoes white wires trigger the paking lights? The second one is the door triger I have built the diodes in line already but there are two blue/white wires in the 16 pin plug will either of thoes work as well? And dome supervision which one should I trigger.

You need to test the wires for their function. You can't just guess. There will be times that you have 6-10 of the same colored wires in the same spot

I have found out which ones are the parking lights. How do I test the factory disarm wire to find it since there are four light green ones there. Or can I just turn off the alarm in the radio settings since I relocated the radio to the trunk, and forget the whole factory alarm disarm wire? If I need this to be wired do I need the relay like directed says or can I attach the alarm wire to the BCM wire directly since its a negtive trigger.

You should be able to test the wire by turning the key to unlock in the drivers door.

I have finished the alarm install and belive that I found all of the wires. I am having two problems with the alarm the parking flash do not work I changed the flasher jumper to negtive since it pulses the bcm wire I think I might have the diode backwards what does directfax 1600 say for it? I have the end with the stripe facing the bcm.
The second problem I have is that it will not remote start but the remote take over works when you have the car running and press the remote start on the remote. That works. I have a 555L interface in use. You hear the fuel pump run but it does not want to start. The factory disarm wire that i tapped i saw a -12 volts on the volt meter and when the key was turned my volt meter showed OL and back to -12 volts. I had the negative lead probing the BCM wires and the positive probe on a fuse terminal. Do i have the wrong wire?

Stripe towards the BCM is correct....As for the second problem, sounds like your 555L isn't interfaced correctly....

You are hooked into the wrong wire for the parking lights. You MUST use the light blue wire in the headlight switch wire harness to activate the parking lights or you will cause the check engine light to come on. It is a negative trigger circuit. As for the starting problem check that you have both ignition wires hooked up (pink and green) and that you have the correct tach wire. The disarm wire is the light green wire in the 16 pin plug of the BCM in cavity B3. If the Passlock II interface wasn't interfaced correctly, the car would crank but not stay running. Hook up the parking light circuit correctly and you may be suprised that the remote starter works. It could be causing the unit to not crank.

ok so use the parking light switch at the switch instead. I got the remote start to work I feel really stupid but I forgot that when the alarm was in my old car it was programed for second acc. instead of second ignition everything seems to work now with the remote start, I will just switch the parking light trigger to the switch, was DEI's instructions from directechs wrong with the parking light, and if I move the lights to the switch is the diode still needed or not? I am back at school now so I will have to do it when I get some free time to change it, for now the alarm works which is good, I can live without the light flashing for now.

All you need to do is hook the negative parking light output from your remote starter to the light blue wire coming off the light switch. No diode is needed. You must use this wire, otherwise the BCM which controls the lights will think that there is a wiring short circuit somewhere because the parking lights are powered and the BCM did not receive the command from the headlight switch to do so. The BCM will then turn on the check engine light to indicate it noticed a problem that requires service. It won't damage anything, but it is annoying to have the light on. Customers think something serious is wrong. Same thing happens on a few other GM's.

That light blue wire off the light switch goes directly into the BCM at terminal A2 on connector C3 (gray plug) so why not use it there?- it is an input to the BCM at that point- may be easier than at the light switch.  Just my experiences...
