They work fine. Check to make sure the ring is closed tighter and closer to the edge of the switch. I actually unwrap the black plastic and twist the strands of wire so it will fit all the way against the outer edge. Also, Sounds crazy, but you wouldn't believe how many cars we get back with keys with erased codes. Pull the key out and make sure it starts the car.

what do you mean by closed tighter?  i've used both keys that he had, the gray one that we put in the box and the one with the factory controls on it..  they both start the car, and the remote starter works with either key near the ignition.... ive tried the ring in pretty much all postions....

I have a 556U in my fiance's Accord with no problems at all.  Make sure you use the valet key, otherwise it won't fit in the box!  Those are some big keys.

The ring must be closed  smaller to fit tight around the switch. Use a wire tie or what i do is ducttape the ring into place VERY tight around the outer edge. The only other suggestion would be to try another ring. If even one of the strands get broken it's trash so it may be bad....

I don't know if it's possible, but have you tried wrapping the antenna wire around the ignition cylinder two or three times?  I had to do this with an Astrostart passkey module antenna to get a strong enough signal for key sense to work.

hey guys.... got the car to start and run after making a transponder since my friend cut one strand in his 556u anywho....

the door locks and trunk are being a pita and since his multimeter was mia i wasent about to hunt for wires... i followed the door wires to the 2 lower green plugs above the fuses... the post that i got from here says YELLOW /GREEN for the trunk (don't quote me), and says its a positive trip... using his sytech pos lol.... which has a - trip for the trunk... so i wired up the rely to switch it and it works, tested that via test light connected it to that wire and nada.... sytechs and the color i got from here dont match.....does anyone have the colors they use themselves for this car? if not i'll go hunting with a multimeter later
