Has anyone had any experience with the Ultra Start XR Series? I was looking into the 1256M-XR going on ebay for about $80. They claim it had a range of 2500 ft, sounds like bs to me.

Ultra start is complete garbage. Stay away from it at all costs. If you would like to elaborate I will be more than happy, however it would have to be in a seperate email because of lack of space here. =)

I have installed hundreds of ultra starts and have had no trouble with them at all. 99% of trouble with any remote start is poor installation quality.

Ya i'm sure thats exactly what it is, the quality of my install. So then, you must know about the half dozen or so fixes with the version that was just released. And you must know how UltraStart became the company it is today. Do some research before you start implying how poor ones install is.

Yes I actually have installed hundreds of the new models, we just lost a big competitor in my area so its been busy. I know previous models have had issues and will not argue that. The only problem I have had with them recently is a 2 bad remotes out of the box. I knwo I don't if your installs are poor thats not what I intended to imply. But come on admit it, most problems come from the install and your right I don't know what ultra start has come from I just got back into this business so enlighten me I am always willing to learn.  I did learn they are selling seconds to distributors this week in which they are trying to push on ultra dealers and in fact some distributors are selling seconds only. I also was aware of a few problems with the new releases but what company doesn't have bugs to work out with a new model?? Again feel free to educate me on ultra I am always first to admit I don't know everything..............
