Key will not turn, Its acting like its the wrong key.  Remote start works fine, No issues there. Just will not unlock steering, Or anything.  Im Stumped.  Always happens to friends cars, i swear.  I guess off to honda on monday.  It also seems to me its a mechanical issue. From what ive read the immobiliser does not lock up the ignition

Did you try another key just for kicks? Also, check out your transponder ring, I have wrapped some too tight and the key would be hard to turn the ignition...Nothing from the electronics can really make a tumbler fail, some of the older fords had problems lining up,I remember it was very common in mustangs so look down the cylinder and make sure its lined up too..If the actual tumbler is locked up, it will have to be replaced.

Have you tried turning the steering wheel back and forth while trying to turn the key?
Maybe the wheel was turned hard to one side when the car was shut off, and now the steering wheel lock is stressed too tightly to allow you to turn the key.
Also, try unlocking the doors or tailgate with the key, to verify that you do indeed have the correct key for the car.

Tried the valet key and the other key. Im stumped, It's going to the dealer in the am.

The first thing i tried was turning the wheel, Pressing the break, Dancing around in my underwear. No Go.

Also i didn't use a U, i used a Pkh3, So nothing to wrap around.

Thank god, It's a friend that Understands this doodie happens.  Now i get to deal with the honda dealer in the am. I already know there gonna say well we cant touch it and you voided your warranty by installing your remote start, then ill ask how they sell them for 599 and if they void the warranty?

They cant void it unless the remote start is pinpointed as the damage of the remote start...

OK, I work at a Honda Dealership. I have had this problem before, it sounds like its just locked up really bad. This may sound incorrect but its not, you need to turn the key really hard. Seriously....it works. It may help to turn the steering wheel while doing it, but the Pilots especially have a tendency to do this. It will almost feel like you're going to break the key. Use common sense though man, dont grab the key with a pliers and crank on it or anything....it just needs a little force. If that honestly doesn't work and you think by your feel that it just wont turn without damaging something, you may have other issues.
