I'm kicking around the idea of doing a remote start in my 2000 Wrangler. While researching I found that some manufacturers sell harnesses to tap into the ignition harness, saving lots of time and labor.
I was just a few clicks away from placing my order for a BullDog RS1100 and the matching harness when I started looking into their reputation on this board. Now i'm looking for another brand.
What other brands offer these DIY friendly harnesses?
Any links would be appreciated.

Or am I mistaken in thinking that the harness actually plugs into the Remote Start Brain? Is it just a hraness on the column end and wire leads on the other, similar to a car stereo harness from metra or something?

There are a "few" that offer a plug N play for the main power connection part of the harnesses...but thats about it. You won't find any that take it past that. (locks, light's etc.)

That's the conclusion I came to after another day of research.
Thanks

you can use the t harness with any rs. If there is a plug on the end just cut it off and butt connect it to the new rs you get. Go with Audiovox or any DEI brand (avital, hornet, valet, viper) If you just want rs use valet 516t (uses your factory remote to start the car) or 561R you get keyless entry and rs
