What I'm looking for is a type of remote start i guess. I have a manual trans car with no locks or anything. What I'm looking for is a module that only does the overide takeover that remotes have. I don't want to but if need be I would just get a basic remote start and just use that feature. Preferebly something that is only one button. Well if it exsist let me know, thanks.

If you only want to keep the car on AFTER it's been running you should be able to acomplish that with a time delayed relay.  Of course, you will lose your engine monitoring functions (tach, or voltage), but it would be pretty simple and cheap to wire up.  You could fairly easily add voltage monitoring, and with a little more work you could integrate a tach monitor in to it.  Somewhere I read about a voltage to frequency IC chip that could be used to monitor RPM.

After thinking about it for a little while I'm just going to pick up the avital 4000. I can get it pretty cheap like $40 and still keep full manufacturer warrenty. Install it in like an hour and be done with it.

What kind of car are you going to install a remote start on in 1 hour?
