I installed a 2w900fmas remote start alarm combo in my 99 civic si with a 5 speed trans. I was wondering if you try to start the car while armed,is the alarm supposed to go off when it kills the starter??? The only thing it does is kill the starter. It does not sound the alarm. Every alarm that I ever installed the starter kill would would prevent the car from being started as supposed to do and also sound the alarm. Do I have to enable the anti-jacking feature for this to sound the siren when I try to start while armed? I guess compustar figures that if one of the doors open, or the hood is released, or the shock sensor goes off then that is good enough.

The Compustar units do NOT have ignition sense to trigger the alarm. I have ran into this befor, I don't know why they don't have it but they don't. It might have something to do with the RS. Or they feel that there is no way to start the car without setting off any of the other Zones (ie doorpin or shock sensor)
