I normally don't put remote starts on manual transmission vehicles. My friend has a 2001 Chevy Silverado with a manual transmission. My question is this. What is the best way to bypass the clutch switch so the truck will start with the remote start system? This is the only one I'm going to do and he knows the consequences of starting the truck in gear. Any information will help. Thanks.

If there is an accident, it's your neck on the line too. Use a unit designed for a manual transmission.

You NEED to get a MANUAL TRANS REMOTE START. I have made the mistake of installing auto trans remote start on an employee's vehicle they SWEAR they never leave in gear and when the thing took off across the street and took out a fence and neighbor's central air conditioning, guess who paid for it.... the company I worked for...not me of course. But anyway, that was best case scenario, what if it had hit a woman and baby in a stroller. Don't take the chance. Scytek and Ultrastart both make manual trans units that work VERY well. I have a Honda Accord with one on it and it works very well. Having said this, *EDIT*

Compustar units are built from the ground up for manual transmission vehicles.
