I have a 2000 chevy blazer. My new Compustar 2wss-as should be here today or tommorrow. I have a pljx bypass that i purchased for this install also.

Now for the noob-ish question(s),

On the pljx instructions, there is a blue wire called the "passlock resistor value wire", im confused as to what this wire goes to. It shows the wire should be yellow coming from my bcm, but from my wiring diagrams i dont see a yellow wire.

There is also a green "key sense" wire, which Im gathering from my schematics, isnt used.. any input?

And one last wire im confused about is the black wire that says "ground wire in passlock harness". can this be any good chassis ground? or if not, im confused as to where it is.

thanks to all who respond, im no noob to car electronics, just definately a noob when it comes to installing alarms/ remote starters..

the "passlock resistor value wire",    connects to the yellow Passlock wire

"ground wire in passlock harness".    connects to the black Passlock ground wire      NOT chassis ground

these wires are found usually wrapped in grey tape as a 3 wire set coming right off the ign switch......

i have never hooked up keysense when doing PL II.......

dude you should use the gmbp interface. gwr, power ground and data wires are all you hook up. very simple and reliable. same brand but easier.
