I have just completed a remote start / keyless / alarm system in a 2005 Eclipse. Everything seems to be working great except for the fact that when the doors are locked from the interior door switch or with the key on the outside of  the door when you return and unlock the door with the new alarm remote, open the door the factory alarm starts going off. I need help figuring out how to disable the factory alarm system.

DEI lists:
Factory Alarm Disarm      orange       -       ETACS ECU, pin 25
With this note: MITSUBISHI, ECLIPSE, 2005, Factory Alarm Disarm
Meter this wire while turning the key in the driver door key cylinder.
The ETACS ECU is attached to the back of the fuse box.
Hope this helps.

Why would you e locking the door from the inside with the switch.....AND, why would you be putting the key in the door to lock???

Use the transmitter to do the work for ya.

That is a good question and I asked the same thing. This was installed in a friends vehicle and she decided to lock the doors by using the inside door switch shortly after the install and the alarm started sounding off. Just trying to help her from having to worry about that happening again. Thanks again for the help.

Simply tell her NOT to use thefactory transmitters, or locking of the doors manually. Use the NEW transmitter only.
