So I installed a new alarm/remote start in my wifes car everthing works great accept one thing, if I hit the lock button it locks fine but if i hit the unlock button / disarm button it doesn't disarm. The system is a 3 wire system and I had to use a resistor to make the doors lock.
Any thing I should look at?

DEI lists lock as not requiring a resistor and unlock requiring a resistor:
Power Lock      white       -       black plug in dkp
Power Unlock      same wire
PONTIAC, GRAND AM, 2000, Power Lock
Lock requires a negative trigger, and unlock requires a negative trigger through a 1,500 ohm resistor. Must use relays. Must close doors to lock with a single pulse.
It sounds as if you may have lock and unlock backwards from your unit, and make sure you use relays.
