today i was putting in a car alarm and it was only arming and disarming when i had the door open... i checked the schematics and wiring diagram 5 times and everything is hooked up right

sounds like a bad ground so far. If your ground is no good, and the unit only sees a good ground when you open the dorr, that may do it.

ok well i did miss the ground wire that wasnt hooked up and now it works just fine thanks
