Rx is grey/orange and the Tx is WHITE/ green.. Should be in the same bundle as the ignition wire and the two are twisted together

i just installed a 2way compustart with alarm system on a 2006 f150. hooked up the neg door trigger with dio . when the door open the wire has a ground on the neg door trigger wire . but the alarm  is not going off with door opening. if i hooked up a tested to positive and touch the neg ground trigger wire, tested will light up and alarm with go off when door is open . is there another wire i need to hook up.
