Hi guys-could really use your help! The typical "one wire" interface for door locks on the 1990 Mercedes 300SL (convertible) apparently is not correct.
Car has:
1. 2 blue wires at driver's kick panel
2. 2 blue and 2 green wires at vaccum pump unit, right rear trunk.
I was not able to use the usual 2-relay single-wire interface working...it would only unlock, not both.
All doors can be unlocked from trunk lock, driver's lock, pass. lock. Also there is a lock on the gas cap cover.
Total: 4 locks.
Any solution for this? Surely someone has had difficulty with these before...otherwise I'll have to chase down a Mercedes wiring diagram.

Since no one was brave enough to post a reply, here's the solution.
I got my hands on the Mercedes wiring schematics and did some engineering work...
PROBLEM: The typical single-wire relay interface does not work, and door locks will only work one way, or fail to work with alarm after first activation.
CAUSE: This car has DUAL power lock wiring, example: 2 blue wires, 2 yellow wires, etc.
SOLUTION:
(At vacuum pump in right rear of car, in trunk):
1. Find the 2 small yellow wires going to the vacuum pump connector.
2. Cut one yellow wire completely and insulate.
3. Cut the other yellow wire, insert "the usual" Mercedes relay door lock interface:
    A. One relay will connect the PUMP SIDE yellow to ground.
    B. One relay will connect the PUMP SIDE yellow wire to +12V
These relays are inserted INLINE on the wire, and if one is activated, the wire going AWAY from the pump will not be connected (this is desirable). The wire going TO the pump will be connected to either +12V or GRND.
At rest, the relays simply allow continuity (30 & 87a terminals are used).
Thus the door lock interface posted on most sites does not apply here. (I.e., not an easy single-wire interface).
Thanks anyway.
Marty :)
