I have had a Astrostart (903) put in my 06 Murano. When I start with the remote the windshield wipers are still active. I was told by the installer that you can not disable this function on my model car.I also have the same remote on a 04 Chevy Trailblaizer and the wipers will not work if the vehicle is started with the remote. Is the info the installer gave me right or is there a way to disable the wipers?

Do the wipers just come on when the vehicle is remote started? Or are they auto rain sense wire system? I would just turn the wipers off an not worry about it.. as for your trailblazer, that is because the wiper circuit isn't powered up when the truck is under rs. When you turn the key they work , correct? If they don't then the rs isn't powering up something in the correct sequence and should be fixed...

No the wipers don't come on unless I have left them on (wich is what I did when I noticed this) or I turn them on. I am just concerned about the wipers freezing to the windshield and being the dumb a%@ that I am, not turning them off and burning out the wiper motor. As for the Trailblazer yes they do work when turned on.

Thats what I figured, it's perfectly normal operation . ther has to be a way to cut the wiper ckt with a relay, it just takes some time to find the wight wire. I know its not listed in the database , so thats probably why he told ya it can't be done....
