94 Tempo, signal lights, remote start?

Hey guys, Has anyone had any problems with the signal lights not working after installing a remote starter? Even after I completely disconnect the starter module, they still don't work, it's an oldie..."94 Tempo.

Is there more than one brown wire at the switch? If you grabbed the wrong wire you may have burnt out the switch.

There were 2 brown wires going into the plug-in at the headlight switch, but they looked like they were joined together in the plug in. They can't both be use? The hazards are not working either.

Fuses....maybe you "shot" one of them?

I would start with the following: 1. Check EVERY fuse in the car, in ALL fusbox(es), both underhood and interior. Test with a test light or meter, NOT by visual inspection or guesswork. 2. Remove plastic shroud from steering column. Unplug turn and hazard switches, plug them back in firmly, and wiggle them around. 3. Somehow find out where the car's turn-signal flasher is, unplug, re-plug, and wiggle. If possible, substitute a known good flasher from another car. 4. If the hazard switch is partially between on and off, or is defective or unplugged, in most cases the turn signals won't work either. Definitely play around with the hazard switch, including wiggling, pushing on and off, and tapping. 5. Drop down your remote start brain and test ALL wires at the brain and make sure you got the correct ones........all ignition wires, parking lights, brake, locks/trunk, and so forth........if they all test as they should, your install should be OK, but it's also possible that you made an error, and if you did, of course you'll need to correct that.
