I have a 2003 Suburban coming in next week, have Pldata for bypass.  Only concern I have is the door locks.  In all the diagrams I have found, it says to refer to directfax #1601.  This Suburban has factory rke.  Any one out there have the info from directfax 1601, or have the information on hooking up door locks?  This is not a base model.  I know I could use the gm interface for the locks, but that is too costly.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Setting up the door locks and disarming the factory alarm can be done with out spending more of your customers money.   If anyone out there has the directfax #1601, please email it to me, or post it here.

You are FAR better off with that kit.  You need go into both doors and use 2 relays in each door to the lock motors.  And then you also have to use 2 more relays at the factory relays for the rear doors.  6 relays total and probably about 2 hours labour.  You think that is saving your customers money?   You can also go into the lock switch in the drivers door and use relay to complete the circuit.  The downfall to this is that if you screw up that switch it is likely around $400 since it is a complete unit and is manufactured for GM by Motorola.  I have done all 3 methods and the best is to use the dlgm4 no question about it.

Not to mention that the dlgm4 arms and disarms the factory alarm.  The other 2 methods do not and can not.  The only way to arm and disarm without the dlgm4 is to sacrifice a factory keyless entry transmitter and wire relays up to it.  Then you have to worry about batteries going dead in that transmitter.  Not to mention it is not very proffesional.

Thanks for the input, I have ordered a GMDL 4.  I have seen a post in another thread that said you can use a - trigger on a plug at the back of the BCM.  And the alarm disarm was easy also.  But like you stated, not worth the trouble.  Again, thanks for the advice.
