I knew before i even opend this post it was gonna be a cheevy.  Im almost positive you didnt power up one of the ignition wires.  Check all the wires at the ignition barrel and see if there are any ignition wires left that u didnt connect.  If there are, connect them accordingly

Where do I locate these wires. The guy that hooked up my alarm just ran one wire to a wire under my hood that runs into the ingine or something.

the wire your talking about is probably the tach wire. You need to take it back to the person/shop that installer your R/S and have him look at the install. He most likely didnt power up the 2nd accessory wire, which can cause that light to come on and could cause transmission problems as well.
12volts      red       +       ignition harness
Starter      yellow or purple       +       ignition harness
Second Starter
Ignition      pink       +       ignition harness
Second Ignition      white       +       ignition harness
Notes: To avoid the check engine light from coming on and possible damage to the automatic transmission, the second ignition in this vehicle MUST be powered when adding a remote start system.
Third Ignition      pink/white       +       ignition harness
Notes: The pink/white does not exist on all models.
Accessory      orange       +       ignition harness
^ show them that!
good luck

Like the other guys said. If you had it professionally installed, but a mistake has been made, have the professional fix it----surely, if he's reputable, he'll be eager to fix the problem (without charge, of course).
If you try to fix it yourself and make a mess, he's not going to fix that.
