Well I've had this alarm installed in my '01 Ford Escape for over a year now without hassles. And last night, got in the car to go out, unarmed it everything worked....get home and it wouldn't arm or lock the doors with the remote...I've gone over everything with a DMM pokin all the wires, everything is getting power...except nothing. I tried to reprogram the remotes but a few seconds after i hit the lock button to program it, my lights flash twice, and I'm not sure what that means. Any help :( thanks!

I would take it back to were it was installed as compustar units carry a lifetime warranty. Also note that most shops including myself will void the warranty if the customer tampers with the install.

i do the on to acc 5 times and the lights flash once...i hit lock and noth ing happens. then a few seconds later the lights flash twice.

Sounds like a antenna problem. Make sure its plugged in all the way. Thats the only thing I have seen similar to the problem your having.

yeah i called compustar and they suggested the antenna also, i removed it and checked it over but it looks fine. A friend has the same alarm not installed so i'm going to borrow his unit to swap out parts to narrow it down some more. thanks for the help
