Im installing an Avital remote start/keyless entry, i have everything hooked up except the bypass. everything works and was tested. the lock and unlock wires were also connected and work. The car form factory has a feature that when the car starts moving the doors lock automatically. Well after installing the rs/ke when the car is in motion the doors keep locking and unlocking. Does anybody know what it could be, the bypass isn't installed yet but should dat have an effect on it??

I would turn off the ignition controlled door locks on the Avital. How did you make your connections to the ignition harness, did you solder them? Where is your system ground, is it to a bare paint/primer free piece of metal in the kick panel and not to a bolt under the dash?
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

how would i turn off the ignition controlled door locks on the Avital? My connections at the ignition harness are soldered and taped, but my ground is on a bolt under the dash under the steering column, i scraped it and tested it and got good ground.

The ignition controlled door locks are listed in the system programmable options of the installation manual. On the newer systems it is options 17 and 18.
I would also suggest moving that ground to the kick panel. Most dash supports are held on from the factory by bolts, with no attention paid to ground quality.
