My 07 subaru sti has a factory security system in it. I'm trying to install a viper 791 in this car with the same function of the power locks and unlocks just like the factory system. One press of a button to unlock the driver's door and a second time to unlock the other doors. Is this possible? If so how can I wire this up to make it possible.

Show me a diagram or something

thanks

That is tricky as a vehicle that new I doubt anyone has much info. However the Viper is programmable to operate most doorlock systems either way...read through the manual and you will see.

Good Luck

Which Subaru is it? DEI is not listing any 07 information for the Suburu models yet. Has Subaru redesigned for 07?
However when doing driver door priority unlocking with that Viper system you would use the unlock output to control just the unlock leg of the driver's door actuator (5-wire). Then use the second unlock output to the power unlock trigger in the vehicle.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

Then use the second unlock output to the power unlock trigger in the vehicle.

Viper has no second unlock output..... Can you clarify this whole wiring with the relay and 5 wire

Step by step instructions of how to do this, little confuse

thanks

The Viper 791 DOES have a second unlock output!
Use the Green - unlock output in the door lock harness to a 5-wire relay setup on just the unlock leg of the driver's door actuator.
Then use the light blue - second unlock output (it's on the H2 harness of your 791) to the main unlock wire in the Subaru.
This information is trusting that the Subaru you are working on still offers a negative trigger for lock and unlock. The 06 versions do, but I can not find any information on the 07.

All the wires you need will be found at the integrated module to the left of the steering column.
Connect the green lock output from the 791 here:
Power Lock      RED / white      -      integrated module, gray plug
Connect the light blue second unlock out from the 791 here:
Power Unlock      yellow/red      -      integrated module, gray plug
Unlock Motor      red      5wi      integrated module, blue plug
Take a relay and wire it as follows:
86 and 87 - fused +12v (5 amp fuse will be fine)
85 - blue unlock output from 791
87a - cut the redwire (unlock motor) and connect the switch side of the wire here
30 - connect the motor side of the red wire here
To determine SWITCH and MOTOR side. Cut the red wire above. Connect your black multimeter lead to ground, and the red lead to one side of the cut red wire. Hit unlock on the door. If the meter jumps to 12v, you have the SWITCH side. If it doesn't, try the other half of the wire. I believe the SWITCH side will be coming from the BCM, but you need to test it. Guessing wrong can let the magic smoke out.
You will not find any wiring differences between the 2006 and 2007 Sti.
Do you know about the Neutral Position Sensing wire at the ECU? If you tie into it, it will only allow the car to start in neutral. If you need more details, just ask me. I am very familiar with Subarus. I have owned a 2002 WRX, and a 2005 Sti.
