I've done several defrost triggers on imports -- usually b/c it's really easy to get to the back of the defroster switch and isolate the wire that needs to trip the defroster wire .. then supplying THAT wire with a pulse of ground from the r/s brain on startup --

How difficult is it to do this on a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee -- is it the same concept -- there will be several wires at the back of the defrost switch, I use my DMM to determine which wire goes to ground when I press the switch .. then supply that wire ground... ?

Or is the defroster button integrated into a more advanced HVAC digital interface?  Thanks in advance

Dark blue wire behind the control, needs a NEG(-) latched pulse.

It won't turn on the indicator on the dash, so touch the rear glass to know you got it.
