Since I had this alarm I had no problems until I disconnected the battery one day for a long ass time (was doing the big 3). It is a Compustar 2W900FMR 5000ft with remote starter as well.
Car is a 1998 Honda Accord 4cyl 2DR coupe with automatic transmission with the immobilizer bypass installed.
When I had this alarm/starter during the first winter I remember the alarm would go off when it was serverly hit by something for more than 30 seconds. Now if someone bangs my car alarm only sounds for 20 seconds.
Secondly the remote start use to try 5 times before it wouldn't try to start the car at all anymore. now it only try's up to 3 times and stops trying. It always works on the 4th try.
I don't know whats been reset but I'd like to get my longer alarm sounding time and more starting attempts if possible.
Can anyone help ?
I know your gonna say who installed it, it was installed by a authorized dealer for compustar but his business is now shutdown and I can't go their for any help as a result.

I cant help you with the triger time....can't find a manual for that system. As for the remote start, a properly installed remote start shouldnt need to try to start that many times. Theres gotta be some other issue causing it to fail. Possibly no tach wire hooked up?

I suggest taking it back to where you had it installed these units carry a lifetime warranty if dealer installed. Also it should start the first time, I use alternator sensing on honda's, toyota's etc... works great starts the first time.

If you have your receipt from the install, then another shop that does compustar  can warranty the part.
