I bought a viper 791 alarm w/ remote start for my truck but I've never installed an alarm before.  Should I just bite the bullet and take it to a pro?  Does anyone have a link or some help for me to figure this thing out?? thanks

You have already found the best resource on the internet for assistance in installing your own system. If you take a look through this site you can find everything you need from wiring charts for your vehicle to installation tips to a guide on how to properly solder. If after reading through this forum you are still uncomfortable with installing the system yourself I would strongly recommend taking it to a pro. No matter how good the system is, if it is installed improperly it will malfunction. Not to mention the damage you can cause to your vehicle.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
