The past couple of mornings the temp has been around 25 F. My Pt will attempt to start 3x by remote w/ no success. If I first start the car manually, then shut it off, and then try via remote, it works on the first try. Any ideas? Everything was working very well before yesterday. Oddly enough, my other PT with a 561T starts every time...
Thanks all,
MIKE

I didn't install this one. However, I suspect that the installer didn't use the tach wire as the engine always cranks for the same amount of time. Should I just try to increase the cranking time to the next increment?
Best Regards,

To program tachometer sensing the installer would have had to run the tachometer wire. I doubt the installer ran it, otherwise the unit would be set to tach sensing already. The easiest solution would be to increase the crank time a notch. The best solution would be to run a tachometer connection. As vehicles age they can take a little longer to start, especially when cold. The problem you are having now is the exact reason most shops only use tachometer sensing.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
