I remember reading a tech tip in the mobile electronics magazine about a way to grab the doorlocks without the use of a interface module. something about adding pins to a certain plug.... anyone remember this, or know about it?

There is no mention of the make/model of the vehicle. Perhaps it didn't post completly.

sometimes there is a light blue and a white at the bcm that will do the locks on the 03 through up until the new body style

Correct...but if it is a model that does not do it at the BCM there is another way as well but seems alot quicker and easy to use the module. check the link.

on the bottom of the bcm there is a plug just above the brake pedal.  Pins A2 and A3 are missing.  Insert wires in these pins ant it will give you - lock and unlock.  Dont quote me on the pin #s as it has been a while since I have done it this way but they are there.

That is a pretty neat time saver..as well as saving the $$ for a module. Post back the pin numbers if you figure it out so no one sends ground into the wrong spot and toasts a BCM.

Thanks
