For those that have installed this option on their compustar alarms I'm interested to know if driver's priority can be turned off if it has been hardwired for it. I've heard that when you want to wire the alarm for driver's priority you are supposed to hook up the normal unlock trigger wire to the driver's door and the extra driver's priority wire (ORANGE / black) to teh rest of the doors. It seems to me if that was teh case then if you disabled teh driver's priority you would only be unlocking the driver's door(aka cutting signal to the ORANGE / black wire). Is this true, or am I missing something?

um, its says in the "compustar AS controllers Installation Guide" that under programming menu #1 feature 1-4 is "Driver's Priority Unlock", default setting is off. Under teh description it says
"1-4 This feature unlocks the driver's side door lock with the first unlock pulse. A second unlock pulse is need to unlock the rest of the car doors. Important! In order for this feature to operate, the installer must use the 2nd Unlock Wire (Or/Bk wire of Connector 4). Isolate the driver;'s door motor from the rest of the other doors. Call us for the technical support if you are not sure about this."
FYI I'm installing an aftermarket 5 wire lock kit, I don't have priority or any power locks from teh factory. Here's a link to teh manual I'm looking at:

The only way I could see it working was if when you turned teh priority off on the remote it triggered bothe teh unlcok and priority at teh same time. Then when you turn it on it only activates the priority if the button is hit twice within 3 seconds of one another. Maybe that's how it works. I really have no idea, taht's why I'm asking.
