Want to add remote trunk release to my 03 Subaru Legacy. The factory remote only does lock and unlock but I think I could make it so a 2nd unlock pulse within 2-3 secs of the first could fire the trunk soleniod via a relay.

The other option is to use both lock and unlock pulse. If both are received within a few secs it fires the trunk.

Any ideas ?  someone done something like this already ? The 2nd option might be an easier ciruit to make.

Thanks

Just got a Fortune Ease (the brand) Auto Window Closing Module.

The instructions are very hard to understand being in engrish. It mentions a trigger coming from the driver door lock motor which is understandable but it also mentions a window +ve and window -ve trigger with a jumper on the cct board corresponding to the input +/- input chosen.

Any ideas what this might mean ?

Thanks very much.

Well the trunk release could be done.  You'll need some logic though.  Woul'd be too hard to program a PIC chip to do it if you have that kind of experience.  Otherwise your gonna need to do it with latches or logic gates and some sort of timer.

You are talking about trying to get this to work with the stock keyless entry key fob right?

As for the window module, I have a set too and mine are also in Engrish ;).   But I got a different companines product so I can't help you there.  Sounds like it is asking you to tell it what the input signal is, is it + or -?
