Hey guys, it's been years since i worked with DEI stuff, but you used to be able to bypass certain zones with a couple button pushes on the tx. Does the newer equipment still offer this? The reason i ask, is that i want to add a radar sensor, and a couple of piezos inside my car (crazy stuff going on in my hood) I have 2 dogs that go everywhere with me on the weekends, so i need to be able to bypass the shock and the radar sensor when they are with me.( If someone can steal the car with my dogs in it, they deserve the car, and don't want my dogs to go deaf). I know i can add a toggle switch to bypass it with my current system (Audiovox pro 9775) but prefer not to do that. I also need the system to be multicar capable w/ remote start.

Doesn't have to be DEI, open to suggestions.

The Compustar does all that you need except the radar sensor you will need to wire in a relay to open the circuit when you want to via the AUX channel. No need for a manual switch unless you are using it for a long length of time where the latched relay will eventually drain your battery.

Thanks Velocity Motors, that was the brand i was hoping to hear a little about. I've done one Compustar for a buddy that bit off a little more than he could chew. It hasn't had any problems, and i can get em wholesale locally. Isn't the shock sensor on the compustar the standard 4 wire shock? The radar sensor is a DEI... Couldn't I just multiplex the radar into the shock input wires, thus, hopefully bypassing both with the tx?

I thought about that, but I not sure how the diabling of the shock sensor happens inside one of the CPU's. You can try it when you install it and if it works then that's great, but if it doesn't and it's disabled somewhere else on the board and the radar sensor is still active, then your going to have to use a relay triggered by a latched AUX channel to disable the radar sensor on it's own.
