Im trying to find a way to bypass the immob in a 2002-2004 Rsx Type S. We have been using the RSX ECU's for swaps in other civics and integras but it requires a minimum of 500.00 for it to be removed from www.hondata.com
Well, i know there has to be a better way for this to work. If i were to have in my possession the ECU, Immobilizer, and CODED key for the RSX how would i go about bypassing it in my civic??
My thought, but feel free to tell me why it wont work:
For those with alarms we can use a 556u while powering the immob.
For those without alarms, im stumped.
Will the W/ alarm theory work?

Let me get this straigh.. are you trying to bypass the immobilizer on the RSX Type S? and or are you trying to install the rsx ecu, immobilizer into the civic?

Into the civic. We swap the K20a2 engine from the RSX into the civic. It does have to be rewired, but without sending the ECU out to www.hondata.com to be reprogrammed the immob is still active. Im trying to find a way to make the immob useless or to atleast bypass it. My goal was to use the immob, coded key, and ECU with the 556u.

Im assuming that your transfering over the RSX immobilizer to the Civic.  If you are then in theory you can get a HONDA-SL or  SL2,SL3 to bypass the immobilizer.  Its a self learning bypass.  This kit bypasses both the civic and the RSX.  Just make sure you use the RSX wiring diagram on manual instead of civic to program.  The great thing about it is that no KEY REQUIRED like the 556U

you can go to http://bypasskits.fortinautoradio.com/products/bypass_kits/honda-sl3/ for more info the SL3, on the same website you can see the othe SL versions.  And by the way the programing for civics on the SL are the same for the Acura RSX

Those data bypass modules require the module to be programmed in the car with a working key. After you remove the ECU from the RSX, it will be extremely difficult to program the module (PKH3, CAN SL or any of the other units out there). If you were able to program the bypass module in an RSX before taking the ECU out and putting it in a Civic then the process would be much easier. You would just have to connect the bypass into the immobilizer wiring at the ECU and then have the bypass module activated every time the ignition is turned on. Activating the bypass every time is the easy part.
If you are using the RSX ECU in a 2001-2005 Civic the immobilzer wiring should be basically the same as an RSX. If you could swap the ignition cylinder from the RSX into the Civic (so the key will be able to turn) then I think you wouldn't even have to worry about programming a bypass module or immobilzer key.
If you are going to an Integra or an older Civic where the immobilizer is not present, then things will be a lot more difficult.
Kris, what year Civic do you have?

I personally have a 97 civic. Most of everyone im trying to find the answer to will have a 92-00 Civic. I was pretty sure this would be a no brainer for those with an immobilzer in the car, but its the older generations that dont have the immob I will need help with. Is there a way to directly connect the immob to the ECU, or is there an interface, relay pack, ANYTHING in between the immob and ECU(or is it a direct path of wiring?

I'm pretty sure the wiring goes from the key cylinder area directly to the ECU. I don't believe there are any modules in between the two.
The ECU's from the RSX's....where do they come from? Are they from wrecked cars out of a junkyard, or are they new, unprogrammed units from Acura (or a distributor)?
