i have a 2000 pontiac grand am and put in a clifford matrix 3.2 alarm/starter but i have 2 problems. 1 i have a 1 wire door lock system and i've never done a 1 wire door lock system before. i know i need a 15k ohm resister but i don't know how to do it. an my 2nd problem is the (-) 200ma blue/white wire (status/defogger) i can't remember what to connect it to. it's on the 5 pin secondary remote start harness. i greatly appreciate any help i get.

Door Locks: You need a 1.5K (1,500ohm) resistor, not a 15K (15,000ohm) resistor. Using relays you are supplying a negative trigger to the door lock wire. Straight negative for lock so you wire it like:
Pin 30 : Ground
Pin 85 : Negative Lock Output from alarm
Pin 86 : Constant fused +12V
Pin 87 : Output to lock/unlock wire
For Unlock relay you wire like:
Pin 30 : Ground
Pin 85 : Negative Unlock output from alarm
Pin 86 : Constant fused +12V
Pin 87 : 1.5K resistor to lock/unlock wire
I recommend soldering all connections to the vehicle especially on this type of door lock control system.
As far as the second status/defogger output it is not a mandatory connection as you have the other status output blue wire to turn on your passlock bypass. You can also configure that wire for rear defroster turn on but again this is not a mandatory connection.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
