I want to install it myself into my ride --> been scopin' Ebay, but am very skeptical of their ~200.00 (shipped) 2wss-r units ... dunno if they'll have the defective batch of 2-way antennae/keyfobs...

Any place online (such as autotoys.com, etc) that is legit and could come close to ebay prices on compustar?  Thanks

There are NO authorized "on line" dealers. You should NOT support this kind of retailer. He puts a bad name to any product he sells because there is NO WARRANTY. Also: He makes the job of the authorized dealer at times, painfull. When an on line shopper comes to his local retailer having a problem saying, "it was on the car when I bought it", or "I had it installed when I lived in X" Just don't support this gray market......it's unfair to all .....except you. You get the price savings, thats all. Then 25 posts later on the 12volt, you have your remote start installed and working.

Just my opinion. (being an authorized dealer)good place online to buy compustar? -- posted image.

The units on ebay are NOT defective. Those units are bought from wholesale and resell them at a higher price, and theyre about 25% mark-up from wholesale. I bought some compustar units from ebay in the past for my friends and no problem.

Then you got lucky. Alot of the online stuff is refurbished. But if your going to shop for a compustar, go to a local dealer. Warranty is worth it since its a lifetime warranty. Word
"dont ground out!"
