Use DEI part number 555i.

The light comes on immediately when you open the door...there is no delay. Either way will work fine.The 555U requires the valet key to be used inside it. The 555i doesn't. The 555i gets wired into the cars wiring, the 555U doesn't. The 555U uses a loop of wire that goes around the key cylinder. The 555U is also more likely to have problems in extreme cold weather, since the signal coming out of the key can weaken in the cold. I suggest the 555i...it is what we always use at work.
