does the Compustar programmer have a usb thingy that can be used to hook up Compustar brand bypass (transponder bypass and doorlock interfaces)so that you can flash the bypass for different cars, or is that a separate device?
Im looking for that thingy that can be hooked up to flash idatalink bypass and interface modules.
Thanks

Umm you need a Idatalink cable? Call FIRSTECH LLC they will send you a Y cable, One for your OP500 and your IDATALINK Modules. The other cable is for you PRO serie brains if your a pro dealer.

The USB thingy is for updating Compustar Pro units. It does not update bypass modules.

OMG peoples the OP500 comes with the USB cable.

THEY HAVE Y CONNECTOR THAT COMES WITH THE PROGRAMMER. (NEW)

ONE WIRE IS TAGGED WITH A ORANGE LABLE (OP500) THAT YOU CAN USE TO DOWNLOAD FIRMWARE FOR YOUR IDATALINK MODULES FOR YOU SOLO SERIES, AND DOORLOCK MODULES.

THE OTHER WIRE IS LABELED CM4 (BLACK AND GRAY) THIS IS USED TO UPGRADE YOUR CM4000 OR YOUR PRO BRAIN.

with the orignal cable you cannot upgrade the cm4 brain. you can do this if you switch pin 3 and 4 on the connector.

zang. SO YES is your answer.
