I have a Clifford Intelliguard 770 that I installed on my  2001 chevy impala. This alarm has a wire for a second unlock output which i didnt orginially hookup. Now I am interested in hooking up this wire for progressive door locks. Could someone tell me which wire to tap into for my car to make this work?

In your car, you'd have to isolate the driver's door unlock motor/actuator wiring for the primary unlock output, and then use the ORANGE / black wire (@bcm in 24-pin gray plug) for your second unlock output (unlock ALL doors) -- hence, progressive unlock.  That'll give you driver's door unlock priority with one unlock tap, and with a second tap, you'll open all doors.

The car isn't wired for driver's priority from the factory, to my recollection.  You'll have to use the following wires to isolate the driver's unlock actuator wiring:

I understand what ou just explained to me, but my car has the keyless entry which unlocks he driver's door with  1 push on the unlock button on the factory remoteand the rest of the doors with a second push of the nlock button.

@ the bcm gray connector is a tan wire. pin A12.  If you wire this reverse polarity with your primary unlock wire. Drivers door only.

THEN you can use the ORANGE / black as peterubers stated negative trigger, for the other 3 doors. using the second unlock output.

I went to the download section of the website and saw the diagram for driver door priority with negative triggered door locks. I printed the diagram and wired my door locks the exact same way. The problem that I'm having is with the driver's door unlock. The 2nd unlock output unlocks the doors with a second press of the unlock button on the remote, but the driver's door doesnt unlock with the first press of the unlock button on the remote. I feel the relay clicking with the first press on the unlock button on the remote. I posted the link for you all to take a look at the diagram to see if it's correct or not, because it doesn't seem to be what you guys are telling me to do.

referring to the diagram you linked:

Relay1     Relay 2      Relay3  (as seen in the diagram)

What are you connecting terminal 30 of Relay2 to? (i.e. the relay for the 1st unlock pulse, the driver's door unlock)

Relay1(1st unlock output) terminal 85 is 12v fused, terminal 86 is the unlock wire from the alarm, terminal 87a is one end the cut driver door actuator wire, terminal 87 is 12v fused and terminal 30 is the other end of the cut driver door actuator wire.

Relay2(lock output) ternimal 85 is the lock wire from the alarm, terminal 86 is 12v fused, terminal 87 is chassis ground and terminal 30 is the vehicle lock wire in-line with a 470ohm resistor.

Relay3(2nd unlock output) terminal 85 is the unlock wire from the alarm, terminal 86 is 12v fused, terminal 87 is chassis ground and terminal 30 is the vehicle unlock wire.

I believe you can do the lock, and second unlock with one relay. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

85, 12v.

86 negative lock output from your unit.

87, ground thru the resistor.

87a, negative unlock pulse from your unit. (87a is normally closed to pin 30)

30 to the ORANGE / black lock/unlock wire !
