If I have negative door triggers (pin switch-old car) can I hook up the dome light output and negative alarm trigger to the same point.
Will the alarm trigger itself or not arm properly if it turns on the dome light while dis-arming or while it is arming?
Is the 5000 smart enough to disarm before turning on the light and turn off the light prior to arming???
An old crappy alarm I had did this properly, not sure if Viper has the function, don't have the unit yet to tryer out my self..
Thanks

6A diode, isolate the dome light from the trigger point. You will have to get it as it heads to the dome light, after the splice point for all the doors. For example, it it is a Chevy product, there will be an orange and a white twinned together heading to the light itself probably along the driver's sill or kick. Cut the white, diode band towards the alarm, alarm supervision to the non band side.
Wherever I go, that is where I end up......
