2000 focus stock alarm

Hello all. Earlier today I made the mistake of attempting to disable the horn chirp when engaging my alarm on my 2000 Ford Focus LX. I disconnected all the wire harnesses(sensor, led, starter, and main)from the security module under my steering column. I couldn't open the module so I gave up. I am now trying to put it all back together and my alarm keeps going off when connecting the main harness(20+ wires). I noticed there is a siren output on the module. Will that disable the siren? Is there a way to completely disable the alarm system? My car will not start in its current condition. PLEASE HELP ME!

When it's going off, have you pushed the unlock or disarm button on the keyfob?

That isn't a stock alarm, that is a dealer installed ford/code alarm add on alarm system. Anytime you plug in the main power and ground to an alarm system, it will go off. It is the nature of alarms and the way they are supposed to work. You have to plug it in and then disarm it. Plug it in, turn on the ignition and push the programming button under the dash and it should shut up and allow you to start the vehicle. Also not sure what you were planning on finding by opening up the module, but there will be nothing of use inside for you leave it sealed. If you want to disable it completely, unplug everything and yank the module out. Then just jump the two starter wires (either white and WHITE/ red or purple and PURPLE / red) on the module and your car will start. Mike
