on a 1999 grand prix w/ a compustar cm3000...Have relay set up correctly, have tried everything and can't get trunk to pop. Relay shows 12v, when triggered shows .05v to trunk button. Do i need a diode or something? What's going on here. Alarm has negative input, car has positive trunk pop. Do the basic 40amp relays not work with this? Anyone know? Thanks

my installer had to use a bigger relay and switch it from just holding the aux button for 1.5 seconds to aux+lock cause i guess the aux channel didnt provide a long enough timer... but i believe he said something about using a bigger relay too (i have an aftermarket spoiler on my trunk lid and they thought that was why with the added weight)

Thanks, this worked...Put it on aux 1, will just have to unlock the doors before I open the trunk or the trunk trigger will set alarm off, no biggie. I guess the trigger needed half a second, which the aux was, the trunk was probably only .2 seconds or less, which was way too less.

I called tech support even though I'm not a dealer they still help you out a little bit, he said there is no way to do it, but he did say if the trunk pop wire doesn't work you can get a pulse time relay and it'll energize for however long you want it to.......although i've never heard of this it sounds like it can be done easily

Well i can pop my trunk with the remote and the alarm will not sound, but if i arm the car while sitting in it and hit the lever for the trunk the alarm will go off, so that tech is full of it...
